Confession
I am who God says I am in His Word.
I have what God says I have;
I can be what God says I can be;
I can do what God says I can do.
All authority in heaven and on earth
Has been given to Jesus.
I have been given Jesus' authority.
I have the authority to resist the devil
because Jesus completely defeated him through the cross.
I have been given the right to win over the devil every day!
Satan and his demons are under my feet.
I resist the devil and he runs from me!
The devil is afraid of me because I walk in Jesus' authority.

Growing in Jesus' Authority Part 3 Trinity A/G 6-10-07
MAIN THOUGHT: Every believer can grow in Jesus' authority by taking the following steps from God's Word.
PART 1
1. Realize that you have been delivered from Satan's dominion and translated into God's Kingdom!
Col 1:13 NKJ "He has delivered us from the power of darkness and translated us into the kingdom of the Son of His love,"
2. Place yourself under Jesus' authority and delegated authority. (spiritual leaders, spouse, boss, accountability partners, police) Matt 8:5-9; 7:21-23; Heb 13:17; Rom 14:9; 10:9
You must be under authority to have authority!
3. Find out what the Bible says about your authority in Christ.
Matt. 10:1; 28:18-19; Mark 3:14-15; 6:7; 16:17-18; Luke 9:1; 10:19; John 14:13-14; Acts 3:6; 3:16; 4:7, 10
We believe that the authority & power that the early disciples
had are still available to us believers today!
4. Recognize that you have no authority of your own. Your authority comes from Jesus' authority.
Matthew 28:18-19; Acts 3:12, 16
5. Ask God to make this authority real to you. Eph. 1:17-23
6. Begin using this God-given authority!
Challenge, rebuke, fight the enemy - evil thoughts, desires
PART 2
7. Meditate and confess what God says in His Word every day.
Meditate: Joshua 1:8; Psalm 1:2;
Confess: 1 Timothy 6:12; Heb. 4:14; 10:23; 2 Cor. 4:13; Romans 10:8-13
8. Be fully convinced of who you are in Christ. Phile. 1:6
Satan will challenge any area where doubt and unbelief is.
9. Be filled with the Holy Spirit. Eph. 5:18-20; Acts 2:4; 4:31
10. Pray in tongues (in the spirit). Jude 1:20
Allow the Holy Spirit to flow through you!
11. Be strong in the Lord! Luke 4:14; Eph. 6:10-18; 2 Tim. 1:7
PART 3
12. Put on the full armor of God. Eph. 6:13-20; 1 Thess 5:8
Weapons of our Warfare: 2 Cor. 10:3-5
the Name of Jesus - Mark 16:17-18; Philippians 2:9-11
the Holy Spirit - 1 Jn 4:4; Isa. 59:19 (NKJ)
the blood of Jesus - Rev. 12:11;
word of our testimony - 12:11

prayer in the Spirit with all kinds of prayer - Eph. 6:18-20

13. Stay linked to the body of Christ. Do not walk alone!
14. Ask for discerning of spirits 1 Cor. 2:14; 12:10; Phil. 1:9; Heb. 5:14

Being aware of the Presence of the Holy Spirit
Sensing the presence of the enemy - Acts 13:8-10
Detecting that someone is moving in the flesh, not the Holy Spirit
Jesus - Nathanael - "in whom is no guile or deceit" John 2:47
15. Use your God-given authority every day!
drive away doubts, fears, attitudes, feelings, lusts, thoughts
Putting On The Armor of God
"Father, You have commanded me to BE STRONG IN THE LORD AND IN THE POWER OF YOUR MIGHT.
I confess that in my own strength I am weak, but as I lean upon You and draw from Your almighty power, You enable me to do great exploits for You!
I take my STAND on the finished work of Christ on the cross! Lord Jesus, thank You for completely defeating the devil at Calvary!
I will not be bullied around by the devil or his demons today because greater is He that is in me than he who is in the world!
Father, I put on the BELT OF TRUTH around my waist.
I confess that You and Your Word are the Truth that sets me free!
Help me to walk in Truth today, Lord.
Uncover any deceit in my life.
Help me not to live a lie, but to live in the reality of Your Word.
I choose to put off falsehood, rumors, gossip and lies.
I will speak the truth in love today!
Establish me in Your Truth, Lord Jesus.
I put on the BREASTPLATE OF RIGHTEOUSNESS.
You, alone, O Lord, are my righteousness.
You are my holiness.
All my righteousness is as filthy rags.
I receive the gift of Your righteousness.
Now live Your righteous, holy life through me!
I choose to follow in the paths of righteousness today.
I put off what is unholy and impure, every work of the flesh.
My heart is Yours alone, Lord.
Father, I put on the SHOES OF READINESS THAT COME FROM THE GOSPEL OF PEACE.
Help me to be prepared to speak Your Word to others today. I will go only where You want me to go.
Let Your Word be a lamp to my feet and a light to my path. Keep my feet from every evil path.
Now I take up the mighty SHIELD OF FAITH WITH WHICH I CAN EXTINGUISH ALL THE FLAMING MISSILES OF THE EVIL ONE!
Lord, no weapon formed against me shall prosper because You are my Shield and my protection!
I place my hope, my confidence and my trust in You alone.
I choose to believe what You've written in the Bible, Holy Spirit, and also the word that You speak in my heart.
I place the HELMET OF SALVATION on my head.
Holy Spirit, renew my mind today!
Cleanse my mind from all the lies in this world.
I will not put anything into this mind today that will defile me! Let your saving power change me today!
Spirit of God, Your SWORD is in my hand.
Let Your Word be living, active and powerful in me today!
Lord, help me to meditate on Your Word today.
Let Your sharp sword pierce and cut through every wicked device of the devil!
Father, help me to PRAY IN THE HOLY SPIRIT throughout this day.
Let my mind and heart be sensitive to You and Your leadings. I lift up Your church, Lord Jesus, Your saints -- in our local Body, our community and around the world.
Help us to be the salt and light you intend for us to be.
May Your Kingdom COME and may Your will BE DONE in us today as it is done in heaven! AMEN !!!
